Before every NFL draft, along with the 40-yard dashes and 225-pound bench presses and agility drills, those hoping to make a living colliding with other premium athletes at a high rate of speed must also put their brains to the test—presumably before they're turned to mush and the league turns their back on them—and tackle the Wonderlic test; a logic-based exam that s supposed to help determine if a player is mentally fit to play at the next level. It might seem odd to take such a test, but when one considers the complexity of NFL offenses and defenses and the need for quick-problem solving abilities, the Wonderlic makes sense.
