It’s no secret that actor and comedian Jamie Foxx has had a romantic history involving white women, but it seems he may be ready to turn a new leaf and go back to his roots.

The “Django Unchained” star said as much during a hilarious bit of his recently released Netflix special, “Jamie Foxx: What Had Happened Was...” In the special, while detailing the shocking medical emergency he endured last year and how he came into healing on the other side of it, Foxx sits at a piano onstage and sings about his gratitude for making it through and for the Black women who held him down and advocated for him — namely his sister Deidra Dixon and daughter Anelise Bishop.
The Oscar-winning actor then takes a moment to address how people thought he was a clone when he first began emerging back into his social life until they spotted him with a white woman. That’s when Foxx addresses Black women as a collective and assures them that his days of doting on white women were over and that he was ready to be back “on the Black side of town.”
“Sisters, I’m here to tell you, I’ve been cured. I’ve been cured of everything, no more white girls. I’m serious, no more white girls,” Foxx said before later adding: “No more potato salad and raisins. No more white girls! No more spray tan, no more big titties, no ass! No more white girls! I gotta let ’em know! No more white women. Every month is February all year long. Hallelujah, no more honkies. No more white women, I’m back on the Black side of town...No more white girls...in public.”
However, as the clips began to circulate online, Foxx’s joke was met with mixed reactions as some Black women openly welcomed him back whereas others felt like he was pandering.
“This ain’t funny at all. He saying he had to go through strife to love us?!! I promise you none of them white girls grew up watching the Jamie Foxx show, he was just a rich n***a who was in the circle and they wanted his D. I hate this place,” said one user on X/Twitter.
“Idc about jamie foxx being a perpetual swirler cuz he doesn’t disparage black women. simple,” said another.
“Hey nobody cares that Jamie Foxx loves white women to death cause he doesn’t make it his personality,” another said.
“He is pandering to black American women because he knows what their support means for his career but I also think him exclusively dating white women is nobody’s business as long as he remains respectful,” another wrote.
“Jamie Foxx uses Black women for labor but refuses to provide a loving home for one,” said another user.
