Why is Tina Knowles Beefing with Janet Jackson Fans?

Knowles started a war between fans after liking an angry Instagram post.

Tina Knowles may have unintentionally started a fan war! After liking a post from a Janet Jackson fan disapproving of the โ€œRhythm Nationโ€ singerโ€™s ticket prices, Knowles found herself in some hot water. Hereโ€™s how it all went down...

In a viral screenshot, a Jackson fan shows how much of a price increase it is to participate in a Meet & Greet, jumping from $900 for a VIP ticket to a whopping $2,100. The post was captioned, โ€œWhat a jokeโ€ฆthey add $1000 for a 15 second meet & greet again. No front row for fans unless you want to bend over so they can continue to rake in the cash. You want Beyoncรฉ prices, have real production. Just disgusted.โ€

Super sleuths checked the likes on the post and found Bey and Solangeโ€™s mamaโ€™s profile. People called out Knowles for being messy and disrespectful, suggesting that sheโ€™s more active than she should be on social media. (Remember a few months ago when she slammed people for spreading a rumor about her daughter Beyoncรฉย bleaching her skin and wearing too bright of a wig?)

Since the angry post used Beyโ€™s name, itโ€™s likely that she only paid attention to the acknowledgment that the โ€œRenaissanceโ€ artistโ€™s concerts are top-tier productions, since we all know she loves to hype up her daughters. However, we canโ€™t guarantee that she didnโ€™t mind throwing a subtle bit of shade by liking the post instead of scrolling by.

After hours of fighting between fanbases on the internet, Knowles took to her Instagram to address the controversy, โ€œFirst of all, being on the other side of that I know better than anyone what a great production costs and that itโ€™s expensive. I would never criticize another artist let alone Janet Jackson who is the queen of production and her family, theyโ€™re the First Family of Music.โ€

The next part of her apology is a rundown of how she claims she mistakenly liked the post and doesnโ€™t like drama (even though we know sheโ€™s not afraid of a good clapback).

โ€œIf you follow me then you know that I am not involved in the mess,โ€ she said. โ€œWhat I am guilty of is liking posts, going through when Iโ€™m in a big hurry, and I donโ€™t have time to really read and like things because I trust these are people that I follow. That was a big mistake.โ€

Meanwhile, Jackson hasnโ€™t acknowledged the issue at all. Instead, she posted on her Instagram today about her exciting year ahead which seems to be filled with more shows and โ€œsurprises.โ€ Maybe it was a little bit of shade, who knows?
