In latest news, Williams has fired her court-appointed personal attorney, a woman named Linda Redlisky, according to TMZ sources. This fallout reportedly stemmed from a disagreement regarding Williamsโ€™ ongoing case.

Sources told TMZ the former TV personality asked Redlisky to file paperwork, which would begin the process to decide if the guardianship is actually necessary. Instead of that, however, Redlisky allegedly did nothing. This eventually led to Williams firing her on Wednesday (Jan. 29), reports TMZ.

News of Redliskyโ€™s canning comes weeks after Williams told The Breakfast Club she feels like sheโ€™s in prison. โ€œI am not cognitively impaired, you know what Iโ€™m saying? But I feel like Iโ€™m in prison,โ€ she told the show hosts. โ€œThis is what is called emotional abuse,โ€ she added.

Williams first entered the guardianship in 2022 voluntarily after being diagnosed with several health issues and even fainting during her daytime TV show, โ€œThe Wendy Williams Show.โ€ The court appointed Sabrina Morrissey to rule over Williams, but now, the TV show host says sheโ€™s being taken advantage ofโ€” similar to Britney Spears.

Many have spoken on Williamsโ€™ behalf to corroborate that sheโ€™s in fact lucid. Her long-time friend Charlamagne Tha God, journalist Don Lemon, and Williamsโ€™ own niece have testified to her sanity. โ€œWendy, whether sheโ€™s incapacitated or not, deserves to live her life with some degree of autonomy and happiness around her family,โ€ Lemon told The Root.

Williams currently lives in a New York assisted-living facility but is not able to receive incoming calls or access electronic devices, according to TMZ. Sheโ€™s even said she only has $15 to her name, as her money is tied up in the legal situation, according to Page Six.

At this point, it seems no one knows what the future holds for Williams and her guardianship. But, itโ€™s clear sheโ€™s not happy, and we all know when Williams has a problem with something, sheโ€™ll figure out a way to solve it.
