A black activist was attacked Saturday during a speech by Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump at a rally in Birmingham, Ala., according to CBS News.

Several recordings show Trump supporters pushing the man and kicking him to the ground. Before the melee, the unnamed man appeared to be shouting โBlack lives matter,โ which was also printed on his T-shirt, notes the report.
The television news outlet says he was surrounded and attacked after he refused to leave the event.
โAll lives matter,โ a rally attendee could be heard shouting as the protester was escorted out by security officers.
Trump did not stop his speech and dismissed the disruption, according to the New York Daily News, saying, โGet him the hell out of here! Throw him out.โ

Trumpโs campaign did not immediately respond to BuzzFeed News about the incident, but campaign spokesperson Hope Hicks told CNN, โThe campaign does not condone this behavior.โ
No arrests were made, according to Birmingham police.
Trump continues to incur backlash over insensitive statements about U.S. immigrants, most recently Syrians fleeing violence in their homeland.
โSo hereโs the story just to set it clear: I want surveillance of these people," he said, reports the Daily News. โI want surveillance if we have to and I donโt care,โ he said. โI want surveillance of certain mosques, OK. If thatโs OK? I want surveillance. And you know what? Weโve had it before and weโll have it again.โ
This summer, Trump slammed Democratic presidential contender Bernie Sanders for allowing Black Lives Matter protesters to take away his microphone at a Seattle rally of his supporters.
โThat will never happen with me,โ Trump told CNN in August. โI donโt know if I will do the fighting myself or if other people will, but that was a disgrace. I felt badly for him, but it shows that heโs weak. Believe me, thatโs not going to happen to Trump.โ
