Human rights attorney Bryan Stevenson, founder and executive director of the Equal Justice Initiative, gave this rousing, personal talk at last week's TED Conference in Long Beach, Calif. He spoke about a civil rights issue that plagues African Americans in contemporary society โ the racial imbalance in our criminal justice system โ and how we "insulate" ourselves from the huge problem.
