Full Disclosure: Disney spent all the coins to invite The Root out to Los Angeles to watch the film on the Disney lot and to interview the star-studded cast. I think before they even hit send, I was saying, โ€œYasss!โ€

But as great as this imaginary nation is, itโ€™s missing something: a national anthem. So when Disney invited me to Los Angeles to sit with the cast of the epic film, I asked them to contribute to Wakandaโ€™s national anthem. While we all patiently await the glory that is Black Panther, letโ€™s indulge in the feast of Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyongโ€™o, Letitia Wright, Martin Freeman, Andy Serkis and Ryan Coogler singing Wakandaโ€™s national anthem.
