One thing we know about Karensย is that they will get angry at you even if youโre doing a noble thing. Just look at this white woman in San Diego who called the authorities on a Black woman who was hosting a Feed the Homeless event.

In a video posted to X by Shirley Raines, a Black woman, sheโs seen recording a Karen, whose identity remains unknown, as she calls the police.
The video begins with Raines saying, โThis b***h wanna be on her phone.โ She then asks, โGirl, why you donโt want them people to eat? Why you so miserable?โ
The Karen ignores the question.
The clip then cuts to Raines talking to police officers as she continues to host her event. Raines then adds, โThatโs her whole problem. She wanna control the narrative. We could have had a conversation had you stepped to the side and waited a moment like I asked you to. But now, thereโs no conversation to be had. Sheโs disrespectful.โ

Although the Karen attempts to get Raines in trouble with the local authorities, it backfires on her, as they complement the event sheโs putting on for the homeless.
One officer tells Raines, โAs far as Iโm concerned, you have just as much right as anyone else to be here.โ
Another officer adds, โWeโre gonna leave. You guys keep doing whatever youโre doing.โ
Fittingly, the video ends with Raines giving one of the officers ice cream as they go on their merry way, and the Karen is left frustrated that she couldnโt stop this Black woman from helping homeless people in the community.
As seen in the video, Raines had no problem confronting the Karen. But thatโs because this isnโt her first rodeo. As someone who works with Beauty 2 The Streetz, a non-profit organization that helps marginalized groups, she has run into several people who have done things like Karen in the above video.
On TikTok, where she has more than 5 million followers, Raines posts all the work she does with Beauty 2 The Streetz and any confrontations with people who have a problem with her work.
