It seems like everyday there is a new Karen wreaking havoc on an unsuspecting person of color. Recently, a group of them ganged up on a Black worker at a Burger King in Chappell Hill, Texas.

In a clip that has amassed over 600,000 views, TikTok user TheVolunteerTexan explained that the worker in question — whose first name is Quincy — has a history of providing him excellent customer service. TheVolunteerTexan shared that he entered the restaurant to grab his mobile order and immediately started recording when he noticed a group, which he described as “a pack of wild Karens,” harassing Quincy.
The video shows the three women — one of whom is recording the interaction herself and would later be identified as Xanthea Melton —accosting Quincy as they accused him of telling one of them that she needed to go on a diet.
“As soon as I was walking out, you told me that I need to go on a diet,” one of the women says in the video. “Do you know how that made me feel?”
Quincy denied saying such a thing but the Karens were unrelenting. One woman recording asks him, “Why would you insult her? Why would you tell her she needs to go on a diet?”
Still, Quincy managed to keep cool and responded, “I did not tell the young lady that. What are you speaking about?”
That’s when TheVolunteerTexan intervenes to help Quincy out. “I’m recording for you. I come in here all the time. I know you’re good,” he says in the clip.
When one of the Karens asks TheVolunteerTexan why he’s defending Quincy, the TikTok user gave a straightforward answer. “Why would I defend somebody I don’t know over someone I come in every day, almost, and have a nice camaraderie with?” TheVolunteerTexan replied. “He has excellent customer service every time I’ve ever been in here.”
The women then leave the establishment and things seemingly go back to normal. In a now-deleted Facebook post, Melton defended her behavior, but with Karens, we know it’s always too little, too late.
