President Barack Obama used his weekly radio address on Saturday to call for tighter gun laws amid threats from "ISIS and other terrorist groups that are encouraging people—around the world and in the U.S.—to commit terrible acts of violence."

The president stopped short of calling last week's shooting in San Bernardino, Calif., where 14 people were killed, a terrorist attack. Instead, he called for stronger gun laws to prevent such tragedies.
His message came a day after the FBI announced that it was investigating the shooting as an "act of terror."
Husband and wife Syed Rizwan Farook and Tashfeen Malik walked into a conference center earlier this week and killed 14 people, many of whom were Farook's colleagues from work.
"We know that the killers in San Bernardino used military-style assault weapons—weapons of war—to kill as many people as they could," he said. "It's another tragic reminder that here in America it's way too easy for dangerous people to get their hands on a gun."
