The son of the legendary Isaac Hayes recently shared a disturbing video on Instagram of a Karen who tried to prevent him from entering his gated community. In the clip, the womanโwho was seemingly intoxicatedโalso told him that he should be โwhite.โ

Isaac Hayes III, who works as a tech entrepreneur in addition to being the manager of his late fatherโs estate, posted the clip of him being accosted by a woman as he was driving to his house in an upscale suburb of Atlanta.
โYou trying to get in? Who are you? Iโm on the board,โ the leopard-print clad woman said.
โYou driving here like a bat out of hell, you drive in and drive out...f**k you, itโs all ridiculous, we have dogs, we have people and you donโt even care,โ she continued.
The Karen then appeared to say: โWhy donโt you be white?โ Hayes recounted his disbelief in the Instagram caption.
โChristmas Eve Karen: Iโve never seen a Karen in the wild. Well tonight I had my first up close encounter with one,โ he wrote.
โI stayed calm, I made no sudden movements and got away as quickly as I could. Outside of preventing me from entering my community, cursing at me and telling me I should be โWhite.โ Itโs pretty surreal. White Supremacy is crashinโ out all 2025. Be safe.โ
The incident reportedly occurred at the gated community of Cobblestone at Brookhaven.
Hayes III recently garnered public attention earlier this year over his disapproval over the Trump campaignโs use of his fatherโs song โHold On, Iโm Coming.โ
In September, a federal judge in Atlanta ruled that Trump and his campaign had to stop using the track. Hayes expressed relief at the decision.
โI want this to serve as an opportunity for other artists to come forward that donโt want their music used by Donald Trump or other political entities and continue to fight for music artistsโ rights and copyright,โ he told reporters per CBS News.
