While many in the rap world were elated to see Kendrick Lamar take home multiple wins at the 2025 Grammys on Sunday, there was one person who wasn’t too fond of it. That person was none other than Dennis Graham, father to fellow rapper Drake. Don’t worry, we’ll explain.

As we previously told you, Lamar cemented his place in music history on Sunday when his hit diss track “Not Like Us” was announced as the winner for Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video. And while his win was met with thunderous applause inside the Crypto.com Arena, outside, Graham shared his thoughts on the matter as he was leaving the event.
When asked by TikTok user Joy of Everything for his opinion on Lamar’s wins, Graham said: “I don’t care nothing about that sh*t. That ain’t got nothing to do with me. All the best to him, I don’t do that bullsh*t.”
This casual and cool response is in stark contrast to that of his own son’s who opted for silence on social media in the immediate aftermath of Lamar’s wins. However, when Monday arrived, Drake did make a post to his official Instagram—but it wasn’t about his rap nemesis. Instead, the Toronto native promoted a forthcoming joint project between him and fellow OVO labelmate PartyNextDoor. Slated to drop on Valentine’s Day, the upcoming album is aptly titled “$ome $exy $ongs 4 U.”
Whether or not Drizzy will make an official response to Lamar and his history-making Grammys wins remains to be seen, but what is obvious is that both he and his dad appear to be ready to move on from the beef.
