Heโs joked about being a โdictator on day oneโ and even called himself a โking.โ With that, many critics fear heโs gearing up to do a complete takeover of the government. Democrats are scrambling to react to Trumpโs speedy takeover, but if they canโt keep up, many fear our democracy will be at risk.
Sen. Chris Murphy (D-Conn.) put it simply during a recent interview with NBC News. โWhen somebody is trying to destroy democracy, they benefit from people who are static, who refuse to be nimble,โ he said. โEvery Democrat could just continue to run in the same direction theyโve been running for the last 10 years.
