Tinkerbell was growing weaker, her light fading, but when all the little children began clapping their hands, Tinkerbell sprang back to life.

Whether you believe in fairies or not, wouldnโt it be cool if, when we were starting to fade, a bunch of folks would come to our rescue and make sure we came back to life?
No, Iโm not talking about death. Iโm talking about exercise.
A full week has passed, and I didnโt make it to the gym once. I can come up with excuses, but thatโs all theyโd be. Except for the all-nighter, I could have made it for a morning workout, but Iโm off my game this week, and could use some words of encouragement to get back to the gym.
Weโre all different, of course, so weโre motivated by different things. For me, itโs usually great news, or something that makes me really happy and energetic. Iโm trying to be enthusiastic about my daughterโs high school graduation next weekend, but the truth is I donโt make a big deal out of it. College graduation, now thatโs something to cheer about. Iโm happy for her, but more focused on what courses sheโll be taking in the fall.
Hmmm. Graduation would be a great excuse to buy a new outfit, maybe a linen dress. Still canโt go sleeveless, but maybe I can find a nice, white, linen dress and not end up looking like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in Ghostbusters.
The unofficial rule book states that cows arenโt supposed to wear white. Not supposed to wear horizontal stripes, either.ย Iโve never bought into the argument that certain colors can make one appear heavier or thinner. I do believe how one wears said clothes makes all the difference in the world.
Frankly, if you look uncomfortable, Iโll be uncomfortable looking at you. And that happens a lot โ people wearing things they have no business wearing, especially super-heavy women. Just go to the mall on any given weekend. The horror.
Listen, ladies: Just because itโs in the store doesnโt mean itโs OK to buy it.
But Iโm getting off the exercise-motivation thing, which has been an issue this week. With this, I could use some advice. Itโs likely Iโm just feeling a little sluggish, a little drained, and just need a burst of energy to get me back on track.
Just share some advice. No clapping necessary.
