Twin actresses Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Housley have a new product for eliminating stretch marks called Stretchy!, Clutch magazine reports. The product is an offering from their company Need Brands, which creates products for new moms. But writer Yesha Callahan says you can save money and make your own that works just as well.

Nowadays, every celebrity has a product that claims to do something. Not that there isn’t anything wrong with it, but these products most put their name behind can easily be made in your own kitchen. I used to fall prey to the new “it” product when it came to natural hair and skin creams until I realized how much I’m actually shelling out to other people and their businesses. So I did what any money saver would do, I did my research and started to make my own creams and oils.
Stretch marks were an issue, up until a few years ago. But they just weren’t a pregnancy issue. I remember having stretch marks as a kid, during a 3 inch growth spurt, and my grandmother would break pieces of aloe plant and oil me up. It wasn’t a fast fix, but it definitely worked. Her use of aloe is what made me come up with my own concoction, that I still use even when there’s not a stretch mark in sight.
