Former “GMA3" hosts T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach may have been out of the spotlight since their respective departures from the show, but now they’re back to break their silence on their relationship and how things have been lately.

Speaking in the debut episode of their new podcast, “Amy and T.J.”, released on Tuesday — coincidentally a year from the date that the two were told “not to come into work” by ABC — the couple described themselves as “the folks who lost the jobs we love because we love each other.”
“That is bottom line and that is why we are here now,” Holmes said. Robach later chimed in, saying that this was the first time they’ve gotten an opportunity to share their perspective on what transpired and what they’ve been up to in the aftermath.
“In the end, all of us are always rooting for love,” Robach said. “It doesn’t always happen when you want it to happen. And it’s undeniable when it’s real and it’s something you have to navigate and it’s not easy.”
Later in the episode, Holmes cleared up the misconception that they were both “adulterers” in their respective marriages, explaining that both he and Robach were in the middle of a divorce from their partners:
“To be clear, we were outed as being in a relationship, but everyone else thought we were being outed as adulterers — being outed as cheating on our spouses — and it wasn’t the case because the odd thing is, the day those pictures were taken and the day that article was released, we both at that point were in divorce proceedings.”
Robach corroborated Holmes account, adding that both of them retained lawyers and mediators and even drafted an official statement to announce the news of their new relationship only after their divorces were finalized—not when those pictures were leaked to the press.
Regardless, it seems the two are comfortable with how things have played out and in their new relationship. Congratulations to the happy couple!
