Fans are calling for 21-year-old Jax Ulbrich, the son of Atlanta Falconsโ€™ defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich, who helped prankย Sanders, to be reprimanded. And Stephen A. Smith has just the solution.

During an episode of โ€œFirst Takeโ€ on April 28, Smith had a message for Jaxโ€™s father. โ€œTo Jeff Ulbrich, I sincerely hope he whipped his kidโ€™s ass. Thatโ€™s an ass whipping,โ€ Smith began. โ€œThat is a required ass whipping.โ€

โ€œSee, itโ€™s not criminal. But itโ€™s unethical, itโ€™s classless, itโ€™s amoral to some degree. Iโ€™d like to see the face of that kid because sometimes you need to be embarrassed. First of all, it was cruel and classless to Shedeur [and] it jeopardized your dad,โ€ Smith added, defending the father who he thinks was genuinely unaware of his sonโ€™s actions. โ€œYour dad couldโ€™ve lost his job! And because you wanna prank somebody, and be cruel and insensitive knowing what Shedeur couldโ€™ve been going through, you would be some privileged little brat to do something like that!โ€

The prank caller, who was one of Jaxโ€™s friends, posed as Mickey Loomis, the New Orleans Saintsโ€™ general manager. โ€œItโ€™s been a long wait, man,โ€ the person said, which was captured on Sandersโ€™ draft livestream. โ€œWeโ€™re going to take you with our next pick, man, but youโ€™re going to have to wait a little bit longer, man. Sorry about that.โ€

Jaxโ€™s father, who was only on his first season with the Falcons, wonโ€™t face any disciplinary actions because his son โ€œunintentionallyโ€ came across Sandersโ€™ number on an โ€œopen iPad while visiting his parentsโ€™ home,โ€ per the teamโ€™s statement. Jax also apologized for his โ€œtremendous mistakeโ€ on social media, admitting his actions were โ€œcompletely inexcusable, embarrassing, and shameful. Iโ€™m so sorry I took away from your moment, it was selfish and childish. I could never imagine getting ready to celebrate one of the greatest moments of your life and I made a terrible mistake and messed with that moment. [...] I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me.โ€
