According to the Huffington Post, Donna Brazile, the interim leader of the Democratic National Committee, was giving an encouraging speech to some 150 employees when a staffer identified only as "Zach" had a few tough questions for the embattled Brazile.

"Why should we trust you as chair to lead us through this?" two people who were in attendance told the Huffington Post, quoting Zach. "You backed a flawed candidate, and your friend [former DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz] plotted through this to support your own gain and yourself."

Wasserman Schultz stepped down after WikiLeaks released emails showing that party officials were trying to help Clinton defeat Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary.

Brazile, who has filled in for Wasserman Schultz since her departure in July, was also the subject of email leaks in October that showed Brazile, then a pundit on CNN, had released CNN-sponsored debate questions to Clinton's campaign.

"You are part of the problem," Zach said, according to the Huffington Post, insinuating that Brazile and Wasserman Schultz's email leaks helped push Trump to victory. "You and your friends will die of old age, and Iโ€™m going to die from climate change. You and your friends let this happen, which is going to cut 40 years off my life expectancy."

Zach then reportedly gathered his belongings and left the meeting while Brazile called after him. Brazile wouldn't confirm to the Huffington Post that the heated exchange occurred, stating in an email, "As you can imagine, the individual involved is a member of the staff and I personally do not wish to discuss our internal meetings."
