Go watch Black Panther.

During a UEFA Europa League match Thursday between Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta, Dortmund forward Michy Batshuayi says he heard Atalanta fans make monkey noises at him.

โ€œ2018 and still [racist] monkey noises in the stands .... really?!โ€ Batshuayi tweeted after the match.

Batshuayi, who usually plays for Chelsea, couldnโ€™t help rubbing in the victory to those racist Atalanta fans. As The Guardian reports, Dortmuth advanced to the round of 16 by playing Atalanta to a tie of 1-1, enough to defeat the club on aggregate.

โ€œHope you have fun watching the rest of Europa League on TV while we are through,โ€ Batshuayi added, capping off his tweet with the โ€œsee no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil monkeys,โ€ and the hashtags #SayNoToRacism and #GoWatchBlackPanther.

As both The Guardian and Bleacher Report note, racism isnโ€™t new to Italian soccer, with BR noting several recent high-profile events in Serie A. That includes Atalanta shutting down one part of its stadium earlier this year after Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly suffered racist abuse from fans.
