After going viral for sharing an intimate moment on Instagram Live, ESPN and โClub Shay Shayโ host Shannon Sharpe admitted that he was in fact in the NSFW video during an emergency episode of his show โNightcap.โ The shocking video was shared with his 3 million followers on Wednesday (Sept. 11).

โObviously I am embarrassed. Someone that is extremely, extremely private and to have one of your most intimate details โ the audio โ heard for the entire world to hear, Iโm embarrassed for a number of reasons,โ Sharpe said Wednesday night alongside Chad โOchocincoโ Johnson.
โThere are a lot of people that count on Shannon to be professional at all times and I always try to be professional at all times, even when Iโm behind closed doors. โฆ Iโm very disappointed in myself, not for the act. I think there are millions and billions of people of consenting age that engage in activities, but for the audio to be heard Iโm disappointed in myself. I let a lot of people down.โ
In the salacious clip, Sharpe was engaging in a sexual activity with an unknown woman who could be heard moaning. Even though he initially said he was hacked, Sharpe ultimately confessed that he turned on Instagram Live by accident.
โI threw my phone on the bed, engaged in an activity,โ Sharpe explained. โI did not know IG live. Iโve never turned IG live on so I donโt know how it works and all of sudden my other phone started going off.โ
Johnson did agree that Sharpe isnโt technologically saavy, stating that Sharpe has butt dialed him in the past. This prompted Sharpe to admit he really wasnโt hacked.
โMy phone wasnโt hacked. It wasnโt a prank, it was me being a healthy, active male,โ he said. โYaโll thought I was bulljiving, Unc get it in.โ
Hopefully, this will be the last time Sharpe makes the whole world uncomfortable like this.
