As a consistent advocate of womenโ€™s rights, Harris has several times spoken out against the U.S. Supreme Courtโ€™sย gutting of Roe v. Wade last year. Earlier this week, she expressed during an event in Manassas, Va. that Trump is squarely to blame for the landmark legislation being overturned:

โ€œWe need to understand the horrific reality that women face every single day. Since Roe was overturned, I have met women who have had miscarriages in toilets because they were refused care...As we face this crisis, as we are clear-eyed about the harm, let us also understand who is responsible. [Trump] intended for [Supreme Court justices] to take your freedoms. And it is a decision he brags about. Proud that women across our nation are suffering? Proud that women have been robbed of a fundamental freedom? That doctors could be thrown in prison for caring for patients? That young women today have fewer rights than their mothers and grandmothers? How dare he.โ€

Harris has been the center of criticism since she began her White House tenure, as some folks believed her political presence hasnโ€™t been a strong one. However, sheโ€™s had several accomplishments as the countryโ€™s first Black woman vice president.

Alongside President Joe Biden, Harris has increased funding for HBCUs and Black businesses, eliminated a significant amount of student loan debt for borrowers and vehemently spoken out against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantisโ€™ attack on Black history.

This month, she has traveled to various states in which Democrats need to galvanize voters of color, including Georgia, Nevada and South Carolina.
