The New York Daily News is reporting that Nicole Paultre-Bell, the widow of Sean Bell, a young man shot and killed by police officers the night before his wedding, may run for a newly vacated Queens council seat. Paultre-Bell’s lawyer did not confirm the rumors but said his client plans to pay her respects to former Councilman Thomas White, whose recent death has left one of the borough's city council seats vacant. Apparently Paultre-Bell is being asked to run by members of her Queens community, which was devastated by the senseless death of her partner, Sean Bell.
