According to the New York Post, the 44-year-old trumpeter was caught buying four glassines of cocaine inside a parked car on April 5 in the West Village section of Manhattan in New York City. After Hargroveโs arrest, cops found money on him that had cocaine residue on it, the newspaper reported.
If Hargrove completes his community service, the misdemeanor will be reduced to a violation and heโll have no criminal record.
Ross gave a few words of encouragement to Hargrove.
โI hope we can be confident about the fact we wonโt see you in this building again,โ he said to Hargrove, who looked dapper in a bowtie, navy jacket and crisp linen pants. โThere are other places people want to see you and people whoโve wanted to see you for a very long timeโjust not here.โ
