President Barack Obama confirmed today that his family will stay in Washington, D.C., after they leave the White House so that Sasha can finish up high school there, according to CNN.

The president announced his plans during a lunch in Milwaukee, saying, โ€œWe're going to have to stay a couple of years in D.C. probably so Sasha can finish," he said. โ€œTransferring someone in the middle of high school? Tough.โ€

Obamaโ€™s daughters attend Sidwell Friends, a private school in D.C. where Malia is in her senior year and Sasha is a freshman.

Beyond that, the president says, he has made no decisions, but Chicago seems like a strong contender.ย 

โ€œWe havenโ€™t figured that out yet,โ€ he said when asked whether he would return to Chicago, where he lived before becoming president, or Hawaii, where he was born.

โ€œHawaiiโ€™s home for me, but I spent almost 30 years in Chicago. Itโ€™s where I met Michelle, itโ€™s where she grew up. Itโ€™s where our daughters were born,โ€ he said.
