He’s a serial mumble rapper who’s somehow parlayed his dearth of talent into becoming a premiere recording artist and a doting father who should be lauded for his philanthropic efforts, which include gifting 150 kids with toys for Christmas and helping a teenager provide the entire Cleburne Independent School District with school supplies.
He’s also a professional irritant.
He drew the ire of the entire free world after hitting on Lauren London in the wake of Nipsey Hussle’s death, he’s made a habit out of antagonizing rap royalty like Lil Wayne and T.I., and he can’t stay out of jail for shit.
But his latest transgression—which requires us to sidestep a looming sexual assault charge—might be his worst yet. Because, despite his sordid past, which includes a history of allegedly directing violent behavior toward women, he decided to publicly threaten to hit Yung Miami, a popular member of the City Girls, in the stomach. Did I mention this woman is pregnant?
On Sunday, as he rots in jail awaiting trial for his latest gun charge, he decided to punish us all with a sloppy a capella freestyle from behind bars.
“And I bought Yung Miami a ring, she wanted 808’s baby/When I see her I’mma hit that bitch in her stomach/The way I keep this shit too real fuckin’ up my money...”
Wait, what?
Naturally, the backlash was swift, as Black Twitter gathered the Pompano Beach, Fla., rapper expeditiously:
But it was Yung Miami’s boyfriend, producer Southside, who was not having any of Kodak’s shit.
“Somebody tell Kodak, ‘Suck a dick,” he barked in a clip uploaded to social media. “Get up out of jail first, pussy.”
And it would appear that Yung Miami has now leaped into the fray herself, posting the following comment on Instagram:
“Poor ass nigga Kodak ain’t dust shit!” she clapped back at a fan.
Whether or not she should take Kodak’s threat seriously is entirely up to her. But as for the rest of us, it’s well past the time we abandon ship and leave that dude where he belongs—in the trash.
