(Side note: I had to file this story under Hot Tea, because the story is about Ice T. I’m lovably corny. Carry on.)

Anyway.

Earlier this week, Ice-T noticed someone attempting to deliver a package to his home. Problem is, he didn’t know it was an Amazon delivery driver because they didn’t have any identifying labels on their person. Streets know that’s akin to an unmarked police car! Don’t. Trust. It.

And, well, Ice-T...didn’t.

“Now that you have regular people making your home deliveries, maybe they should wear a vest with ‘Amazon Delivery’ on it, Ice-T tweeted to Amazon. “I almost shot a MF creeping up to my crib last night.”

Much like Ice-T’s other just-as-eccentric tweets, his story went viral, thus opening the juggernaut shopping company to possible suggestions to avoid getting popped by Fin Tutuola.

The rapper-actor didn’t @ the Amazon account, because real thugs don’t have to. Or Amazon searched for its name and saw it. Either way.

When Amazon did respond, I do note it didn’t have the same robotic name fill-in as similar Twitter replies (I would’ve loved if it said, “Thanks for reaching out with your feedback, Ice T!”):

I do wonder what the escalation process with the “Logistics Team” involves, in this case. Will they get those vests? Send demos to Ice-T for his approval? Find out next time on Law & Order APU: Amazon Prime Unit.
