DAILY GUIDANCE AND PRESS SCHEDULE FORTHURSDAY, MARCH 22, 2012

In the morning, the President will visit the Cushing, Oklahoma area to discuss his Administration's commitment to improving and supporting the infrastructure that helps us leverage our domestic resources, while also ensuring these projects are developed in a safe and responsible way. This includes a pipeline that will transport oil from Cushing to the Gulf of Mexico, which will help address the bottleneck of oil that has resulted in large part from increased domestic oil production in the Midwest. The President will deliver remarks at a storage yard holding pipes that will be used for the construction of the pipeline. The President's remarks are open press.

In the afternoon, the President will depart Cushing, Oklahoma and travel to Columbus, Ohio. The President's departure from Tinker Air Force Base and arrival at Rickenbacker Airport are open press.

While in Columbus, the President will travel to Ohio State University, home to some of the country's most advanced energy-related research and development, where he will tour the Center for Automotive Research and deliver remarks on American energy. There will be travel pool coverage of the tour and the President's remarks are open press.

In the evening, the President will depart Columbus, Ohio en route Washington, DC. The departure from Rickenbacker Airport and the arrival on the South Lawn are open press.

Later in the evening, the President will host a reception for Greek Independence Day in the East Room. This reception is closed press.
