Protesters in the stands could be heard chanting, "Hands up, don't shoot," and "Black lives matter." In addition to the protests, various videos were posted on social media that showed what was actually going on during the game.ย 

The hashtag #nojusticenofootball trended for most of the night. If people weren't able to join the protests in person, they were able to follow the event on social media:
