Nicki Minaj May Have Reignited Beef With This Rapper on New Album

Nicki warned enemies that it was too late to apologize before the album's release

Of course, her fans expected all things classic Nicki for this comeback, her Barbie aesthetic, and catchy beats, but most of all those eyebrow-raising disses. And this album delivered just that, and rapper Latto was the one to fall victim.

Last month Nicki posted on Instagram, alluding to possible beefs being addressed in the album typing, โ€œIf you had the opportunity to apologize and didnโ€™t take it, always remember: you had the opportunity of a lifetime.โ€ Interestingly, itโ€™s often been Nicki to start the beef sheโ€™s had with people over the years. But sheโ€™s the one expecting apologies? Yeah, good luck with that, Nicki.

The โ€œSuper Bassโ€ rapper has had a rocky time in her career to keep relationships with other musicians, specifically female singers and rappers. So far sheโ€™s pickled fights with Cardi B, Remy Ma, Megan Thee Stallion, Miley Cyrus, Lil Kim, Iggy Azalea, and Taylor Swift.

In the fifth track of the new album, โ€œFallin 4 Uโ€, she drops a play on words that might reference the โ€œPut It On Da Floor Againโ€ rapper:

โ€œPicture you endinโ€™ up under the sea, where the dread at?/Picture not listeninโ€™ when I said you would dread that/ I mean locs ho, youโ€™s-youโ€™s a chop ho/ Iโ€™m number one, yโ€™all go argue over top four/ Clean sweep, you gettinโ€™ mopped, hoโ€

In her rapping cadence, โ€œlocs hoโ€ sounds like Latto. โ€œYouโ€™s a chop, ho?โ€ Uh oh! Last November, Nicki had an issue with Lattoโ€™s song โ€œBig Energyโ€ getting nominated for a Grammy in the rap category while her song โ€œSuper Freaky Girlโ€ was removed from rap and put in the pop category. She went on to say that artists should be speaking up when others are wronged, calling Latto (who is Black and white) a Karen for not taking a stand for her. Latto, disappointed in Nicki whom she respected, posted on X that she couldnโ€™t even celebrate her Grammy nomination due to all the fuss. The two artists continued to air out their grievances over X. Unfortunately, a year later it seems like Nicki isnโ€™t ready to let it go.
