News One is reporting that Denver Bronco safety David Bruton has chosen to become a substitute teacher of social studies and math during the NFL lockout. At the urging of his high school teachers and coaches, Bruton will teach while the NFL works toward resolving issues with players and owners.

According to the post, Bruton says he performed well academically during his high school and college years, and he had what it took to be a role model. His believes the patience and persistence he has on the field will help in his role as a substitute teacher off of the field. 

Idle hands make an idle mind. Luckily Bruton has neither. Kudos to Bruton for making a difference during the lockout.
