Gov. David Paterson showed he could punch and counterpunch Saturday on the show that has often made fun of his poor eyesight. The New York governor chided the show's hosts for making light of the disabled, who can't fight back. He called such jokes "sophomoric and stupid." Obviously, the governor has not checked out the show very often. Those have been the main ingredients of its success in recent years.
