Itโs not everyday that your favorite Hip-Hop artists like Kendrick Lamar and others do surprise music drops. But thatโs exactly what happened for select fans on Tuesday.

Well, sorta, kinda. Let me explain...
You see, everyday fans were casually minding their business on Reddit on Tuesday when they found out that hundreds โ yes, hundreds โ of songs from Lamar and other Hip-Hop greats like Kanye โYeโ West, A$AP Rocky, Travis Scott and others were leaked to the public. According to XXL, some of the songsโ including a collab joint between Ye and Scott โ originated from a user on Reddit who was selling the song entitled โCan U Beโ for a whopping $30,000 as part of a group buy in. As of the articleโs writing, nearly $25,000 had been accrued for that one song itself.
Other alleged artistโs releases include an alternate version of Rockyโs โTestingโ album, over 130 Gunna songs and more joint songs with Ye and Scott. However, in this day and age of AI, popular rappers using AI verses on songs (looking at you, Drake), deepfakes and more, these leaks deserve to be dissected with a fine-toothed comb.
Whatโs more, none of the aforementioned artists have yet to put out any statement, official or otherwise, lamenting to their fans about their music getting out. If this were some real heat...some real exclusive, yet-to-be-heard, songs that these rappers had truly been sweating in the booth to make for weeks and months, I doubt theyโd be this silent about the music getting put out with out proper promo, rollouts or buildup.
Like with anything on the internet, take these songs with a grain of salt. And please, for the love of all things holy, do your due diligence before paying for random stuff onย the internet.
