The public discourse around Keke Palmer’s extremely private issues has not dimmed the actress’ spirit. On Tuesday, she sent out a message supporting DomiNique Perry, as the “Insecure” actress deals with her own unfortunate headlines.

The “Nope” star took to Instagram to celebrate Perry as a mother, noting how proud she is of her and complimenting her kindness and patience.
“Dominique appreciation day. I love you so much and I am so amazed at the beautiful loving person and mother you are,” Palmer wrote. “Anyone that sees the way Zenni lights up around you would know that to be true. Zen is the greatest reflection of the kind of person you are. She is funny, kind, patient and smart! All the things I’ve come to know and love you to be. I just wanted to say I’m proud of you and welcome others to say the same. From mother to mother YOU ROCK! It’s not easy but you make it look that way and I appreciate you in my life!”
The love fest between the two women continued with DomiNique replying to the “Alice” star’s post: “Keke.....sis...I’m truly in tears...you are such a light that God has placed in my life to guide me. I love my other mama Sharon, another ride or die and my confidant! I thank you for just being you. When we met I knew I wanted you around me forever. I love our babies being family. We are connected at the hip now lol. Such a beautiful soul and AMAZING MOTHER you are!!!!! A BEAUTIFUL HARD WORKING MOTHER!!!!!! I got you for life WHATEVER you need. You’re my angel n my sister.”
Palmer shares a 9-month-old son with ex-boyfriend Darius Jackson, while Perry has 5-year-old daughter Zen with Sarunas J. Jackson, Darius’ older brother.
Perry recently filed a petition alleging that she has “experienced emotional volatility, intimidation, bullying, undeserved stress, mental and physical abuse, controlling and narcissistic behavior, all over the past 5 plus years from Sarunas and his family.”
Palmer sparked a firestorm of social media debates when she filed for a temporary restraining order against Darius, accusing him of domestic violence. After weeks of messy headlines, Palmer and Jackson recently decided to reschedule the restraining order hearing and take their issues to a mediator.
It’s so uplifting to see these two confident Black women support one another through this difficult time. It’s important to remember that no matter what you read on social media, you don’t know what’s really going on behind closed doors.
We don’t know what’s going on in these women’s families, but it’s important that they have solid support systems right now — especially for their children.
