Unlike Lucious Lyon, who's starting off the second season of Empire in jail, a court has ruled in favor of the actor who plays him, Terrence Howard, and he's off the hook when it comes to a divorce settlement.

A Los Angeles judge Monday overturned Howard's divorce settlement with ex-wife Michelle Ghent, stating that Howard signed the 2012 document under duress.
Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Thomas Trent Lewis brought up the fact that Ghent attempted to blackmail Howard by saying that she would expose photos and video that would indicate he's not a well-endowed man.
"The evidence of extortion or duress was unrebutted," Lewis said in his ruling.
Now the two parties will have to negotiate a new agreement, and for now, it seems as though Ghent will not have access to Howard's Empire earnings.
The agreement had entitled Ghent to a share of Howard's earnings, which would have included a portion of his salary from the hit Fox series Empire, which begins its second season in the fall.
Howard's four-day hearing included accusations of physical abuse and drug use, with the actor denying physical abuse. Howard also revealed during the trial that he had wrapped up a divorce from his third wife, whom he married earlier this spring.
