A judge has declared a mistrial in the drug case against reggae star Buju Banton, who was accused of trying to sell cocaine to an undercover police officer last year. U.S. District Judge James Moody declared a mistrial after the 12-person jury sent him a note for the second time, stating that they could not agree on a verdict. They had been deliberating since last Thursday after the conclusion of the four-day trial. The four-time Grammy nominee claimed he was just trying to impress the man, who turned out to be an undercover police officer, because he thought he had recording-industry connections. Uh-huh. We do that all of the time — walk around setting up drug deals and tasting cocaine to impress people. Not! We're not saying he's guilty; we're just saying.
