Per court documents obtained by RadarOnline, the two are set to appear in court on March 1 and will figure out how to handle both the custody set up for their two-year-old daughter Monaco and their prenup that was put in place before they wed.
As TMZ reported earlier in January, Mai filed a request for a judge to postpone the enforcement of the prenup citing the fact that she didn’t have enough time to review it before she signed. Mai also revealed that she signed the prenup only five days before their wedding back in March 2021 and didn’t feel like she had time to go through it thoroughly enough.

The divorce between rapper Jeezy and his soon-to-be ex-wife Jeanni Mai aren’t going all too smoothly and now, thanks to a new court filing—things may have just gotten a bit more divisive.
Per People, Jeannie Mai is now clapping back at claims from Jeezy that’s she’s been “gatekeeping” their nearly two-year-old daughter Monaco. In new court documents, the former daytime talkshow host’s legal time is citing the fact that her concerns for “reasonable safety” stemmed from guns presumably owned by Jeezy that had been unsafely stored while the toddler was present and the lack of “properly trained caregivers”.
“It is essential to clarify that Ms. Jenkins’ insistence on reasonable safety measures being put in place, such as safely securing and locking away all firearms that have been unsecured in the past, as well as having familiarity and properly trained caregivers is absolutely not gatekeeping, but rather a responsible effort to prioritize their daughter’s well-being,” the document read. “These requests are grounded in Ms. Jenkins’ genuine concern for the parties’ daughter’s safety and security, especially when under the care of others and traveling across the country, and are reasonable protective measures, not an attempt to restrict Mr. Jenkins’ access to their daughter.”
As previously reported by The Root, this comes nearly three weeks after Jeezy asked a judge for a hearing to set “clearly defined” parental rights and “address temporary custodial arrangements,” according to previous court documents, according to People. He cited both “the present long-distance nature of the parties’ co-parenting of the Child and associated difficulties” and the fact that their initially agreed upon visitation schedule for this year has become “increasingly less feasible.”
While Jeezy doesn’t believe Jeannie is allegedly “gatekeeping” their child with malicious intent, he said that her alleged actions make it hard for him to exercise “parenting time” with Monaco.
