The part that caught many peopleโs attention was when Sean said, โI had to switch the home team โcause they committed treason/N****s looking for engagement like they got their knee bent/I got better things to do than to find someone to beef with.โ
He later rapped, โMan, this industry is terrible, I canโt even vouch / Iโve seen grown men get matching tattoos for the clout.โ
That last bar sounded like a shot at his former boss Kanye West. In August 2022, Ye, Steve Lacy, and Lil Uzi Vert got matching tattoos that read, โWe here forever technically.โ
As for the former bars, many have concluded that heโs talking about Kendrick Lamar since itโs been rumored for years that the two arenโt on great terms going back to 2013.
But DJ Hed confirmed that K. Dot was not the MC he was talking about, writing, โI talked to Sean. The bar was โI got better things to do than find someone to beef withโ And it was not for Dot. Bar was directed at a different Gemini.โ
If Sean is indeed taking shots at Ye, nobody should be shocked: During Westโs infamous interview on โDrink Champsโ in 2022, he stated, โThe worst thing Iโve ever done was sign Big Sean.โ
If Big Sean is indeed talking about Ye, you canโt blame him. Those were some scathing words he said about Sean.
But again, this is all speculation. Sean just previewed new music produced by Ye on Monday and said it may be featured on โVultures Pt. 2,โ the anticipated second collab album from Ty Dolla $ign and West.
