โ€œNotably, none of the new House committee chairs are women,โ€ The Hillย reports.

โ€œCurrent House Administration Committee Chairwoman Candice Miller (R-Mich.) remains the only female on the roster of panel leaders, which was announced earlier,โ€ the news site explained.ย

The group responsible for interviewing candidates and voting for who will fill the chair posts is the House Republican Steering Committeeโ€”a panel that consists of โ€œelected leadership, top committee chairmen and regional representatives,โ€ The Hill report explained. In other words: top GOP brass.ย

ย โ€œTheyโ€™ve selected an all-male slate of House committee chairs (again)โ€”save the โ€˜Housekeeping Committee,โ€™ which theyโ€™ve graciously allowed a woman to helm,โ€ Stech noted.

โ€œWomen voters,โ€ she added, โ€œwill be watching and holding these Republicans accountable."
