Former NFL Stars Antonio Brown and Le’Veon Bell Call Kamala Harris, Tim Walz Out Their Names at Trump Rally

The former Pittsburgh Steelers players appeared with Trump at a campaign rally in Pennsylvania.

During his time in the NFL, Antonio Brown became better known for his controversies โ€” including a troubling history of alleged mistreatment toward women โ€” than his talents as a wide receiver. Unsurprising, perhaps, that his latest bit of controversy involves stumping for former President Donald Trump.

Over the weekend, Brown and former Pittsburgh Steelers player Leโ€™Veon Bell attended Trumpโ€™s campaign rally in Latrobe, Penn. to endorse the former president. Bell did so wearing a shirt calling Vice President Kamala Harris a โ€œtramp.โ€ย

At the rally, Brown โ€” wearing the mandatory red MAGA hat โ€” went after Democratic vice president nominee Gov. Tim Walz, calling him โ€œTampon Timโ€ and claiming that โ€œhe isnโ€™t a real football coach.โ€ He added that the Minnesota governor โ€œcould never guard me.โ€

Trump continued to campaign in the area by attending Sundayโ€™s Jets vs. Steelers game at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. Before kickoff, Brown was seen outside the stadium handing out yellow and black โ€œTrump Vanceโ€ towels. For the unfamiliar, the Steelers use yellow and black โ€œTerrible towelsโ€ to rally fans.

That both men took such wildly crude and childish approaches toward their endorsements courted the ire of social media. โ€œBetween Donald Trump, LeVeon Bell, and Antonio Brown there are over 35 felonies, multiple sexual assaults, and multiple illigitimate kids but they have the nerve to call Kamala Harris a tramp. Fuq those guys,โ€ one user wrote.

Ryan Clark, former Steeler and current ESPN NFL analyst, threw shade at Brown and Bell on social media, noting the actual legends who are supporting Harris.

โ€œFormer Pittsburgh Steelers are split on the Presidential election,โ€ he wrote on X. โ€œOne side has Mean Joe Greene, Jerome Bettis, and the family of Franco Harris supported her..and the other has Leveon Bell & Antonio Brown. Different class of folks for sure.โ€

One user had perhaps the most deliciously succinct response to it all: โ€œIf youโ€™re voting for the same person Antonio Brown is voting for then youโ€™re stupid,โ€ they wrote.
