The award show, hosted by ESPN, took place in Los Angeles with Danica Patrick as host of the eventโ€™s 26th editionโ€”the first women to serve the role.

Many deserving athletes took home awards in various categories such as Terence Crawford for best fighter and Lebron James for best NBA player. Some of the winners shocked us, like Sloane Stephens winning best female tennis player. We all know Serena Williams is a tennis God, but weโ€™re still happy for our sister Sloane.

Shiggy, the creator of the #InMyFeelings challenge was also there and posted pics to his Instagram story of all the celebrities he met, like Ciara and Russell Wilson.

The eveningโ€™s most powerful moment was during the presentation of the Arthur Ashe Courage Award, which was awarded to the survivors of Larry Nassarโ€™s sexual abuse.

One hundred and forty one women accepted the award and received a standing ovation.

Sarah Klein, a gymnast who accepted the award of behalf of the many, told the audience, โ€œMake no mistake, we are here on this stage to present an image for the world to see, a portrait of survival, a new vision of courage ... telling our stories of abuse over and over and over again in graphic detail is not easy. Weโ€™re sacrificing privacy, weโ€™re being judged and scrutinized, and itโ€™s grueling and itโ€™s painful but it is time. We must start caring about childrenโ€™s safety more than we care about adultsโ€™ reputations.โ€

The event isnโ€™t usually this touching but with the victims on stage accepting this award, it gave the show more meaning than who might be best at scoring touch downs.

Aside from that moment, a lot of the fashion caught my eye as well.

Hereโ€™s a look at some of the looks from the ESPYs:
