But for Pop Matters to go on and write an 1,100-word piece arguing that one could compare Taylor to the late, great Michael Jackson is just downright wrong.ย 

Hell, Taylor would probably tell you herself that she's not quite there yet.ย 

It's sad, because Taylor didn't bring this on herself. Nor did she ask to win the Video of the Year Award at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards, a win that led to her being interrupted by Kanye West during her acceptance speech. West made it clear to Swift in front of millions of viewers at home that regardless of Swift's win, Beyoncรฉ had made one of the greatest videos of all time in "Single Ladies."

It seems that Taylor is always being reminded that she's not quite the best, regardless of this pedestal that the media so badly wants to put her on.
