As Jonathan Majors prepares to go back to court for yet another pre-trial hearing for his domestic dispute case on Wednesdayโhopefully the last one before a New York judge decides to take the case to trial or notโhis legal issues may have just gotten a bit more international. Iโll explain.

According to a new 115 page filing by the Manhattan District Attorneyโs office, obtained by Variety, prosecutors in the case are trying to secure a police report from Sep. 2022 in London, England. While the specifics of the report are unknown, the prosecutorial team allege that itโs relevant to their case as it โreferences medical care obtained by [Grace] Jabbari [the woman accusing Majors] at that time.โ For context, Jabari is a English citizen who worked as a as a movement coach for Ant-man and the Wasp, and Majors was reportedly in London filming season two of the popular Disney+ series Loki at the time of the police reportโs creation. This filing comes as a response to Majorsโ legal teamโs motion to dismiss the case in itโs entirety.
The filing also alleges that Majorsโ legal team โleaked and misrepresented court evidence, as well as attempted to have police create a wanted poster with Jabbariโs photo.โ The D.A. also ruled out charging Jabbari for domestic violence in accordance with Majorโs counter-claim against her where he alleged she was the aggressor and not him.
The filing also provides more details into the night in question back in March, when the Magazine Dreams star was taken into custody and later released on charges of assault and harassment stemming his allege abuse of his accuser.
Variety has more:
On March 25, he and Jabbari were taking a private car service from a Brooklyn party to their Chelsea apartment, according to the filing. Jabbari, who worked as a movement coach alongside Majors on Disneyโs Marvel tentpole โAnt-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania,โ saw a text message on Majorsโ phone that read, โWish I was kissing you right now.โ
She allegedly took the phone out of his hands to see who sent the message. Majors then โbegan grabbing the right side of Ms. Jabbariโs body and prying Ms. Jabbariโs right middle finger off the phone, causing bruising, swelling, and substantial pain.โ The filing continues that Majors โthen grabbed Ms. Jabbariโs arm and right hand and proceeded to twist Ms. Jabbariโs forearm, causing substantial pain to her finger and arm. The defendant then struck Ms. Jabbariโs right ear, causing a laceration to the back of her ear and substantial pain.โ
After he retrieved his phone, Majors exited the vehicle and Jabbari attempted to follow the actor. Thatโs when โthe defendant grabbed her, picked her up, and threw her back inside โฆ [and] sustained substantial pain, including a fractured finger, bruising about her body, a laceration behind her right ear, and a bump on her head,โ according to the filing.
Amid the delays and several pre-trial hearings, Majorsโ lawyer have maintained his innocence, saying in a previous statement last month: โFor an excruciating four months, Jonathan Majors, the real victim in this shameful ordeal, has had his life, career, and reputation torn apart. Yet he remains unwavering in his determination to be absolved from this harrowing ordeal.โ
Additionally and as previously reported by The Root, the Marvel star filed a cross-complaint against Jabbari, and reports later surfaced that the NYPD had enough evidence to arrest her, but opted not to for undisclosed reasons.
In the aftermath of that those developments, a bombshell report was subsequently published by Rolling Stone, which alleged Majors had a pattern of abuse that were present in his past romantic relationships, on film and television sets and during his time at Yale School of Drama. The Devotion starโs lawyer vehemently denied any all allegations present in that report.
Unfortunately, the case has been mired with conflicting accounts of the night in question and a dizzying amount of details that have proved exhausting for the public (and the press for that matter) trying to keep up at each turn.
While Majors and his team await his trial (or not), his career has suffered in the interim. In the months following the accusation, heโs been dropped from several high-profile projects, his PR company and former management company. However, heโs still set to serve as Marvel Studios โbig badโ a.k.a. Kang the Conqueror as the company has made no official announcements on whether or not they will replace him.
