On Wednesday (Dec.18), The Root reported that Trinity Rodman—the daughter of Dennis Rodman—went on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast to discuss the complicated relationship she had with her father.

Trinity cited her dad’s problem with alcohol and how his lifestyle was not conducive to raising children. Now, Dennis Rodman is addressing those damaging claims.
The four-time NBA champion went on Instagram Thursday to say that even though he’s been forbidden from trying to see Trinity, he will never give up.
“Sorry I wasn’t the Dad you wanted me to be but either way I still tried and I still Try and Never will Stop,” Rodman wrote. His post also included a video that showed photos of the pair throughout the years.
“I will keep Trying even when you’re being told as an adult not to respond to my phone calls. I will try even when it’s difficult and if it takes a long time,” Rodman continued.
“I’m always here And tell you all the time rather it’s your voice or voicemail how proud I am. I always had one wish and it was I wish my kids would call me and come see me. Hopefully one day I can get that. I’m here and I’m still trying pick up the phone you have my number, You see me calling, I’m still here Dennis RODMAN- Dad.”
Rodman also said that he watches Trinity play all the time but stated that he was once told not to show up to one of her games because of who he was with. Rodman opted to watch from his hotel balcony instead “just to make everybody happy.” The star ended the caption by saying that he loves all of his kids.
Trinity told “Call Me Podcast” host Alex Cooper that growing up she tried to live with her father, but he was “having parties 24/7" in which random women would attend.
Rodman is father to Trinity and her brother Dennis Rodman Jr. from his past marriage with Michelle Moyer.
