Dang! Rapper Azealia Banks Gives Nicki Minaj the Read of a Lifetime Over Megan Thee Stallion Beef

The outspoken rapper shared her opinion on why she thinks the two women are beefing, and it's messy.

The beef between Nicki Minaj and Megan Thee Stallion has become such a Black cultural moment that rappers who arenโ€™t even involved are throwing in their two cents. And no one gives two cents like Harlem rapper Azealia Banks.

Now letโ€™s get this straight, Banks shares her opinion on pretty much everything, so her commenting on the beef that everyone has been talking about for the last week isnโ€™t surprising. But what she specifically has to say has peopleโ€™s ears perked up.

On Thursday morning, the โ€œLuxuryโ€ rapper posted a series of videos on her Instagram story, where she was heard weighing in on the nasty feud between Minaj and Megan. While she made multiple points for why she thinks the two talented MCs are beefing, the most noteworthy was when she brought up Jay-Z. And trust us, itโ€™s not for the reason you might think.

To begin, Banks said, โ€œOriginally I was just going to stay out of this because itโ€™s another day, another female rap beef. Who really cares? But I think thereโ€™s some interesting parts to this that everyoneโ€™s missing. This isnโ€™t about Meg collaborating with Cardi. This is about Jay-Z. โ€ฆ Jay-Z has this way of presenting himself in the culture as a Daddy Warbucks type of figure.โ€

She goes on to make the wild claim that โ€œsix or seven times out of ten,โ€ women who choose rap as a career probably donโ€™t have a father figure. This is why Banks thinks that Minaj (and other female MCs) look at Hov for guidance and mentorship.

She later added, โ€œJay-Z has kinda positioned himself in this way where almost every type of female urban artist feels she needs his approval of sorts. I could just low-key feel sheโ€™s felt slighted by Jay. Just by his association with Meek Mill. But at the same time, Minaj wants to wiggle her way in bad. Thatโ€™s what this beef is about. She wants to be a Roc Nation girl so f***ing bad.โ€

Banks later explained that Hov hasnโ€™t โ€œco-signedโ€ a female MC in a while, and the fact that Megan is with Roc-Nation pissed Minaj off.

But Banks did not stop with her accusations of Minaj there. She also made some serious claims about her bank account and herโ€ฆ butt?

Banks stated, โ€œItโ€™s pretty clear that Nickiโ€™s f***ed. That sheโ€™s f***ed financially. realized it when she was frying the can of cream corn in the Teflon pan. I was just like, โ€˜What in the welfare is happening right now?โ€™โ€

She continued, โ€œYou can tell by whatever keeps happening with Nickiโ€™s butt that sheโ€™s f***ed right now. Thereโ€™s something very f***ing wrong with the butt right now. I do know that surgery to get that out there is a pretty penny.โ€

Now, you can tell Banks words about Minaj with a grain of salt, as the two arenโ€™t necessarily cordial with each other. More than a decade ago in 2012, Banks was offered to go on tour with the โ€œPink Fridayโ€ rapper. She declined since she was working on her debut album.

Minaj then tweeted, โ€œ#ManTheseBitches Delirious.โ€

While it wasnโ€™t clear that she was talking about Banks, she took it that way anyway, and let off a series of tweets where she said, โ€œUse good grammar when insulting othersโ€ and โ€œI donโ€™t believe โ€˜Rap gameโ€™ hierarchyโ€ฆโ€ฆโ€ฆ.Sorry.โ€
