Cleveland Browns running back Isaiah Crowell made good on his word to donate his first game paycheck to the Dallas Fallen Officer Foundation after he posted a drawing of a hooded man slashing a kneeling police officer's throat.

"I said I was going to do it, and I wanted to follow through," Crowell told Cleveland.com. The newspaper notes that Crowell donated some $35,300 to the foundation.
According to Cleveland.com, the running back posted the photo to Instagram in July. Although the photo was deleted quickly, the Browns called the image "disturbing and unacceptable." The disturbingly graphic image was posted in protest of the police killings of Alton Sterling in Baton Rouge, La., and Philando Castile in Falcon Heights, Minn.
The Browns issued a statement at the time noting that the posting of the image was “completely inappropriate."
"Isaiah has apologized but also knows that just an apology is insufficient and that he must take steps to make a positive difference after a very negative and impactful post," the statement read.
Crowell apologized for his post and pledged that he would donate his paycheck to the organization, and he accepted an invitation from the organization’s president, Dallas Police Sgt. Demetrick Pennie, to attend the funeral of slain Dallas Police Officer Patrick Zamarripa, Yahoo! Sports reports.
Yahoo! Sports reports that Crowell's donated amount was one-seventh of his $600,000 base salary.
