Charlamagne Tha God Laughed In Lara Trump’s Face After She Said This about Donald Trump, Her Father-In-Law

Trump did her best to defend the former president but to no avail.

On Monday, โ€œBreakfast Clubโ€ hosts Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Envy and Jess Hilarious sat down with Republican National Committee co-chair Lara Trump. It wasnโ€™t long before they asked Lara about her father-in-law and his treatment of the exonerated Central Park Five.

The group, who were wrongfully convicted of raping a jogger in 1989, are now suing Donald Trump for defamation. During the interview, DJ Envy also asked about Trumpโ€™s history of lawsuits in which he was accused of not renting to Black people.

โ€˜Thatโ€™s ridiculous. Iโ€™ve known this man for sixteen years. There was never any proof of anything with the houses; they settled that. There was no admission of anything there,โ€ Lara responded.

Charlamagne, however, let out a full-on cackle when Lara firmly stated: โ€œDonald Trump was really beneficial to the Black community when he was in the White House. I will say Iโ€™ve never seen this man say a racist thing.โ€

Following his bout of laughter, Lara asked: โ€œWhy is that funny, Charlamagne?โ€ The starโ€™s response was pretty straight-forward.

โ€œItโ€™s hysterical,โ€ Charlamagne retorted. โ€œPeople act like thereโ€™s no such thing as Google or they donโ€™t have TV or radio.โ€ Thatโ€™s when the show cut to Donald Trump saying a slew of racist things over the years, including the time he called Mexicans โ€œrapists.โ€

Lara continued to defend the former president. โ€œThis is a man who was beloved by so many people in this country, and he was friends with everybody,โ€ she insisted.

โ€œIf youโ€™re an American citizen, Donald Trump doesnโ€™t care [about] your religion. He doesnโ€™t care what you look like.โ€

However, Charlamagne pointed out how dangerous his rhetoric has been and also said Trump pushed the lie that Haitian immigrants were eating pets in Springfield, Ohio earlier this year.

โ€œWhen you make these broad generalizations, you do hurt the Haitian Americans that are here, the Mexican Americans that are here. They all get labeled and villainized and demonized,โ€ the host said.

Lara replied, saying her father-in-lawโ€™s words have been โ€œmisconstruedโ€ and remained steadfast that heโ€™s not racist, though all evidence pointed to the contrary.

Just last week, Charlamagne hosted a town hall with Vice President Kamala Harris in which the pair discussed reparations, her prosecutorial record and the proliferation of disinformation.
