โWeโre best friends. And itโs like, โOK. Well, there was a time that I didnโt have a best friend, or I didnโt have a support system.โ Itโs not even about โHow do you leave a partner?โ How do you stop talking to your best friend?โ she explained.
Cardi elaborated:
โWe have our own bad stuff. Weโre from two different worlds. Sometimes I cannot be โฆ not that I cannot be a wife. Itโs just like, my career takes my life. You know what Iโm saying? My career comes first, then my kids come second. And then sometimes I donโt realize that Iโm putting so many things before my relationship.โ
Cardi confessed that her children are her number one priority. Much to the chagrin of fans, she didnโt discuss the follow-up to her 2018 debut album โInvasion of Privacy.โ However, she has previously declared on social media that her sophomore album is, in fact, coming out in 2024.
The emcee also stated sheโs not voting for either President Biden nor Donald Trump in the upcoming November election. Cardi did vote for Biden back in 2020, but has since had a change of heart.
โI feel like people got betrayed,โ the โBodak Yellowโ rapper said. โItโs just like, damn, yโall not caring about nobody.โ She went onto describe how upset sheโs been with Bidenโs โdomestic and foreign mismanagement.โ
โThen, it really gets me upset that there is solutions to it. There is a solution. I know thereโs a solution because youโre spending billions of dollars on any f***ing thing...Thereโs countries [where] kids are getting killed every single day, but because the [U.S.] wonโt benefit from that country, they wonโt help,โ Cardi continued.
โI donโt like that America has this superhero cape on. We never did things to be superheroes. We did things for our own convenience.โ What Cardi somehow forgot to mention is that Republicans in the Houseโwhom comprise its majorityโpassed a bill that forced Biden to send military aid to Israel.
A protest vote isnโt as noble as she thinks it isโbut Cardi B isnโt trying to hear that.
