According to Target Market News, author Tom Burrell has launched an online quiz entitled, "Are You Brainwashed?" Burrell launched a "deprogramming movement" with his best-selling book, "Brainwashed: Challenging the Myth of Black Inferiority." In it he challenged individuals to explore their own levels of black inferiority conditioning. Now Burrell has launched the "Are You Brainwashed?" quiz to spark critical discussion about the topic. It is always interesting when folks want to determine the extent to which other people have "inferiority complexes." While the intention may be good, there is always the slippery slope that suggests that there is only one way to be "black" or one type of black consciousness. We'll take a wait-and-see approach. We will be taking this quiz to see if we are indeed black enough for Mr. Burrell.
