The star of America’s once-beloved television father figure, Bill Cosby, continues to fade literally and figuratively amid increasing allegations of assault charges, including a lawsuit.

Cosby’s five-pointed terrazzo-and-brass star, located on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles, was scrawled with “rapist” three times, according to the New York Daily News.
“The Hollywood Walk of Fame is an institution celebrating the positive contributions of the inductees,” the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Chamber said in a statement Friday morning, the News writes. “When people are unhappy with one of our honorees, we would hope that they would project their anger in more positive ways then to vandalize a California State landmark.”
The incident comes after nearly two dozen women in recent weeks have accused the once-adored Cosby Show father figure of sexual misconduct, ranging from groping to drugging and rape. Last week Judith Huth of Southern California filed suit against him in Los Angeles, claiming that he molested her at the Playboy Mansion in 1974 when she was 15 years old. The star’s lawyers brushed back the claim, filing their own suit Thursday, saying that Huth and her lawyer tried to “extort” the comedian for $250,000 before filing the claim, the News report.
