Despite protests planned over a spate of sexual assault allegations against him, beleaguered comedian Bill Cosby plans to perform Saturday on a Denver stage, one day after a successful turn at another Colorado venue, the Associated Press reports.

Cosby, 77, has two shows scheduled in Denver, where protesters are expected outside the downtown venue, the news outlet writes. He performed without disruption Friday before a packed show in Pueblo, where he received a warm reception from the mostly middle-aged and older crowd during his first appearance in the city since a 1996 show at the Colorado State Fair, AP writes. Outside the event, however, attendees were greeted by about 25 demonstrators, chanting “No means no” and “Colorado believes the women,” the report says.
Cosby faces accusations of drugging and or sexually assaulting more than 15 women, with some claims dating back decades, the report notes. Cosby, through his lawyer, has denied the allegations and has never been charged. He released a statement Thursday thanking fans for their support and saying he was ready to perform in Colorado, the site says.
“I have thousands of loyal, patient and courageous fans that are going to leave their homes to enjoy an evening of laughter and return home feeling wonderful,” he said, according to AP. “I'm ready!”
But Los Angeles attorney Gloria Allred, according to the news agency, is planning a news conference Saturday with one of Cosby’s alleged victims before the Denver shows. The event is billed as a “teach-in” to explain why women are accusing Cosby and what the comedian’s response has been.
